1. Use real photos, taken in good light

Shoot your vehicle in daylight, from multiple angles, including the interior and dashboard. A listing with three or four honest photos consistently outperforms one with a single low-light shot — renters are choosing between strangers' vehicles, and photos are most of what they have to go on.

2. Price slightly below the local range for your first few bookings

You don't need to do this forever, but a competitive opening price gets your first bookings — and your first reviews — faster than holding out for top rate with zero track record. Once you've got a few completed trips behind you, you can adjust upward.

3. Respond fast — really fast

Booking requests you don't answer automatically expire after 2 hours. Mention anything that's genuinely useful — fuel efficiency, whether it's comfortable for a hill drive, parking ease — the things you'd actually want to know before renting a stranger's car.

5. Be upfront about the deposit and fuel policy in the listing itself

Renters hesitate most on listings where the deposit amount and fuel policy aren't clear until they message you. State both plainly in your description, and you'll spend less time answering the same question repeatedly — and get faster commitments from people who already know the terms match what they're looking for.
