These terms govern your use of BookMeDrive. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to the terms below.

1. What BookMeDrive Is

BookMeDrive is a peer-to-peer marketplace that lets vehicle owners list cars and bikes for self-drive rental, and lets renters browse, verify, and contact owners directly to arrange a trip.
We are not a rental agency — we don’t own, operate, or take possession of any vehicle listed on the platform. Every listing belongs to the individual or business who created it.
At this stage, BookMeDrive does not process payments or hold funds on behalf of either party. Pricing, deposits, and payment are agreed and handled directly between the renter and the owner.

You must be able to hold a valid driving licence to use BookMeDrive as a renter, and complete our licence-based KYC review before you can contact owners or book a vehicle.
Owners must submit accurate vehicle documents (RC, insurance, PUC) for review before a listing can go live. Listings found to be inaccurate or fraudulent may be removed.
Accounts may be suspended or terminated for providing false information, fraudulent documents, or abusing other users.

Owners are responsible for the accuracy of their listing (photos, pricing, availability, and vehicle condition) and for the legality and roadworthiness of the vehicle they list.
Renters are responsible for reviewing a listing carefully and confirming details directly with the owner before agreeing to a booking.
Booking requests that go unanswered by the owner automatically expire after 2 hours.
Any security deposit shown on a listing is set by the owner and collected directly between owner and renter — BookMeDrive does not process or hold this payment.

Both renters and owners agree to communicate honestly, show up as agreed, and treat the vehicle and each other respectfully.
Disputes over damage, deposits, or handover should first be resolved directly between the parties; our support team can help mediate if needed, but BookMeDrive is not a party to the rental agreement between renter and owner.

Listing a vehicle you don’t own or have authorization to list, or a vehicle with invalid registration, insurance, or PUC documents.
Providing false identity or licence information during KYC.
Using the platform to harass, defraud, or misrepresent yourself to another user.

BookMeDrive facilitates introductions between renters and owners but is not a party to the rental agreement, and does not provide insurance coverage, roadside assistance, or a payment guarantee for any trip.
To the extent permitted by law, BookMeDrive is not liable for damage, loss, injury, or disputes arising from a rental arranged through the platform — these are matters between the renter and the owner.

We may update these terms as the platform grows — for example, once a managed booking or payment flow goes live, these terms will be updated to reflect that and we may ask you to re-confirm.
We’ll post the updated terms here with a new "last updated" date.
